CONDITIONS FOR DRAWAL OF TA/DA ADVANCE

 

All users to go through the rules mentioned below with respect to drawal of TA/DA Advance.


If previously submitted TA/DA claim of an individual is pending for approval at the Logistics Officer/ Commanding Officer level then Unit Approver to mention the following in remarks tab:

 

1. Claim against advance voucher no. _________ is not pending against the individual and is pending with approver, therefore claim may be approved by pay office.


2. If nil TA/DA claim is pending then "Nil outstanding advance pending" remark may be endorsed by LOGO.

 

Refer to Rule 50 of GFR 2017:

 

1.    A second Advance cannot be made to a Government Servant under this section until the individual has submitted his Adjustment Claim for first advance drawn.

 

Provision for Grant of 2nd Advance

 

2.    2nd advance may be sanctioned to undertake the journey soon after the completion of earlier one. In cases where a Govt Servant is required to proceed on tour frequently at short notice and under emergent circumstances, necessitating the undertaking of a journey soon after completion of earlier one, thus leaving little time for the official to prefer his TA Bill, a second TA advance may be sanctioned by the competent authority subject to the following conditions being fulfilled:

 

(a)    The second journey is required to be undertaken soon after the first one, i.e. within a week after completion of the first tour.

 

(b)   The bills for the advances drawn should be submitted latest within a week after completion of the second journey.

 

(c)    In any case, not more than two advances should be allowed to remain outstanding at a time [G.I. M.F.,O.M.No. F.17(14)-E. II(A)/75 dated 24th Feb 1976.
